OSLO10 is delighted to present the group exhibition Time curated by Clare Kenny with the artists Manon Bellet, Martin Chramosta, Gabi Deutsch, Sonia Kacem, Sam Porritt and Gitte Schäfer.


Time is the third installment in an exhibition series conceptualised by Clare Kenny (*1976, Manchester, UK; lives in Basel). It is based around a text written by the american photographer and art historian John Szarkowski titled The Photographer's Eye (1966), in which he lists five properties that he considers the perfect photograph to contain: “The Thing Itself”, “The Detail”, “The Frame”, “The Vantage Point” and “Time”. These properties are taken as the starting point for a 5 part exhibition series in which each property is investigated within a separate exhibition. After The Thing itself at ABBT Projects in Zurich and The Frame at Doll- Espace d' Art Contemporain in Lausanne, OSLO10 presents the third in the series which is dedicated to time. Taking 6 individual artistic positions which reflect through a variety of techniques and approaches various relationships to time. From works which transform during the exhibition period to pieces which, evolve from exhibition to exhibition to those that have the passage of time etched upon them like a patina and others that represent its passing.
